UNT大象影院 provides all students with a campus environment that is conducive to academic endeavors and social and individual growth. To that end, UNT大象影院 has adopted policies to govern student behavior that are educational in nature and designed to help students understand expectations and accept responsibility for their own actions. The policies governing student behavior have been formulated into the .

Alcohol and other Drug Information, Drug Free Schools and Communities Act

The Drug Free Schools and Campuses Regulations (34 CFR Part 86) of the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) require an institution of higher education (IHE) such as 大象影院 to certify that it has adopted and implemented programs to prevent the abuse of alcohol and use or distribution of illicit drugs both by students and employees both on campus premises and as a part of any campus activity. At a minimum, each IHE must annually distribute the following to all students and employees:

  • Standards of conduct that clearly prohibit, at a minimum, the unlawful possession, use or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students and employees;
  • A description of the legal sanctions under university, local, state, and federal law for the unlawful possession or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol;
  • A description of the health risks associated with the use of illicit drugs and the abuse of alcohol;
  • A description of any drug or alcohol counseling, treatment, or rehabilitation or re-entry programs that are available to employees or students;
  • A clear statement that the IHE will impose disciplinary sanctions on students and employees consistent with local, state, and federal law.

The law further requires that the institution conduct a biennial review of its program with the following objectives:

  • Determining the program’s effectiveness and implementing changes to the alcohol and other drug programs if they are needed;
  • To ensure that the sanctions imposed for violations are developed and enforced consistently;
  • Determine the number of drug and alcohol-related violations and fatalities occurring on the campus or as a part of their activities that are reported to campus officials; and
  • Determine the number and type of sanctions that are imposed on students and employees as a 聽result of the drug and alcohol-related violations that are fatalities on campus or as a part of any activity.

Copyright and Illegal Peer-to-Peer File Sharing

大象影院 takes copyright law very seriously and as such has developed policies prohibiting unauthorized duplication and distribution of copyrighted materials, including copyrighted music. Sanctions for violations of these policies include:

  • loss of computing privileges
  • fines
  • dismissal from the University
  • criminal or civil action

大象影院 also employs a number of technical and procedural measures to prevent illegal downloading and distribution of copyrighted materials.

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy, Campus Crime Statistics, Safety Programs, and Services

Information regarding public safety at 大象影院 is provided in the Annual Security Report.聽The Security Report includes crime statistics for the previous three聽years concerning certain crimes reported to have occurred on campus; in聽certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by 大象影院; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. Privacy of Student Records (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that gives students the right to:

  • to request amendments to their records
  • to consent to disclosures of personally identifiable information
  • and to file complaints with the U.S. Department of Education
