CATS Academy Boston is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of AJ, a member of the Class of 2026, who has been named a recipient of the highly competitive Amazon Future Engineer (AFE) Scholarship.
As one of only 200 students selected nationwide, and one of just five recipients from Massachusetts, AJ will receive up to $40,000 over four years to support his engineering studies at Cornell University. In addition to the scholarship, he will have the opportunity to pursue a paid internship with Amazon after his first year of college, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and mentorship from industry leaders.
Reflecting on this accomplishment, AJ shared:
“Being selected out of students across the entire country is something I am still taking in, and I am deeply grateful to Amazon for believing in what I am capable of. I hope to work on artificial intelligence as it reshapes the world as we know it. More than anything, I want to ensure that as technology grows more capable, it also grows more responsible and is a net positive for all of us.”
The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, involvement in school and community activities, work experience, ambitious future goals, and financial need. Scholarship recipients are selected through a rigorous review process conducted by Scholarship America in partnership with Amazon.
